What a wonderful honeymoon we had here. My husband is a diver, I had never even snorkelled before. The guys in the dive centre were brilliant, after snorkelling for the first time in my life, I tried two introductory dives and can't wait to go back as a qualified diver. My instructor was superb, guiding me around the coral, pointing out anything of particular interest and extremely patient when I was struggling to equalize the pressure in my ears.
We saw barracuda, lion fish, angel fish, butterfly fish, stone fish and many more - too many to name. My husband saw a turtle on his first dive. He has dived all over the world but this is the first time that he has had that pleasure.
We walked along the shore one morning and had the privilege of seeing an octopus in the shallows. It was just a peculiar shape at first, a raised pair of eyes, not quite identifiable. As it began to move, we watched it in awe as it moved swiftly along, changing colour as it went in order to blend in with its surroundings. What a treat.
I cannot speak highly enough of the staff, the dive site and my experience. I would advise anyone to book a week of diving, a qualifying course if you have never dived before. I didn't because I wasn't sure if I would like it and was afraid of wasting my money but I wish that I had. Those introductory dives were fabulous but a course would have been so much better for me.
